GABBIEST is a nonprofit initiative built during the H12 Hackathon: AI Healing Gabes. The goal is to improve CSR outcomes for profitable companies while making environmental action more visible and practical in Gabes, Tunisia.

Result: 1st place winner at H12 Hackathon (AI Healing Gabes).

Mission

The platform focuses on three outcomes:

  • CSR dashboarding and environmental monitoring
  • AI-assisted audit workflows
  • investment visibility for CSR receipts so organizations can reinvest into high-impact internal R&D projects that are critical for pollution reduction

Why This Project Matters

Gabes faces real pollution pressure, and the challenge is not only technical. It requires transparent coordination between industry, citizens, and local innovation actors. GABBIEST was built as a practical bridge between those actors through data, scoring, and auditable workflows.

Product Scope

The repository is structured as a multi-surface system:

  • web/: Next.js application for landing, auth, dashboard, analytics, map, and investment views
  • backend/: FastAPI services for audits, analytics, analysis, scraping, and data seeding
  • RSE PROJECTS CODE/: CSR prototypes and related modules
  • vibe/: internal coding guidance and workflow notes

Core capabilities include:

  • enterprise and citizen dashboard modes
  • pollution and CSR scoring views
  • AI-assisted project audits
  • prompt-driven analytics generation
  • scraping status and data ingestion flows
  • CSR recommendation and company ranking endpoints

R&D Proof of Concept

As part of the CSR R&D track, we built four proof-of-concept project lines:

  • Smart waste management with faster routing (Dijkstra-based) to reduce emissions
  • NH3 tracking to support controlled pooling with sulfuric acid for fertilizer workflows
  • transparency agents for civilians to track risk zones and avoid danger
  • smart recycling agent flows that turn waste into practical reuse ideas for citizens
